Jaguar Land Rover Achieves Record Profits Amid EV Transition.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported its highest pre-tax profits in a decade, reaching £875 million for the January–March 2025 quarter, and £2.5 billion for the full year. This success is attributed to improved operating margins and a strategic shift towards electric vehicles. JLR is preparing its West Midlands plant for the production of the new electric Range Rover and a zero-emission Jaguar model, Type 00. Additionally, the company plans to relaunch the Freelander as an EV from its Chinese facility.

Omoda Launches in the UK with Stylish Electric SUVs.

Chinese automotive brand Omoda has officially entered the UK market, offering British buyers a selection of electric and petrol crossover SUVs. The flagship electric model, the Omoda E5, features a 61kWh battery with a range of approximately 260 miles and rapid charging capabilities. Priced from £32,500, it comes equipped with advanced driver assistance technology and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

Fiat Reinvents the 500 as a Hybrid.

Fiat has unveiled the new 500 Hybrid, blending classic design with modern hybrid technology. The model features a six-speed manual gearbox, an upgraded interior, and a redesigned front grille to accommodate the petrol engine. Production is set to begin in November 2025 at Fiat’s Mirafiori plant in Italy, aiming to manufacture over 100,000 units annually.

Ford Puma Gen-E, The Electric Crossover Arrives.

Ford's popular compact SUV, the Puma, is now available as an electric vehicle. The Puma Gen-E boasts a 46.0 kWh battery, offering a WLTP combined range of 376 km (234 miles) and a city range of 523 km (325 miles). It supports DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in approximately 23 minutes. Deliveries to European customers are scheduled to commence in spring 2025.

Morgan Supersport, A Modern Classic Emerges.

Morgan Motor Company has introduced the Supersport, a two-door roadster that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern performance. Powered by a 3.0-liter BMW turbocharged inline-six engine producing 340 PS, the Supersport accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. It features a handcrafted aluminum body and is available with either a carbon fiber composite hardtop or a mohair folding roof.
